New Google Logo Design

by laura | Oct 13, 2016 | Branding, Design, Logo | 0 comments

I’ve always hated the Google logo. Today, they launched a new updated version of their logo and it’s fantastic. Even better is their article explaining their process in creating the logo. It’s a great read.

My favorite part of the article is how Google tested their new logo for maximum legibility on all mediums. We are used to testing our logos to make sure they look good in print at all sizes, but Google extensively tested in all forms of digital and even at low bandwidth.

I also thought it was interesting that the new identity required “hundreds” of people. I can’t imagine how that worked.. but it did. Great job, Google.
